The Beauty and Quality of Interceramic Ceramic Tile and Natural Stone

Posted: Friday, September 27, 2013

Types of LaminateInterceramic has been distributing and manufacturing ceramic tile and natural stone since 1979, when Oscar Almeida and his family founded the company. In its first two years, the company was capable of producing 13 million square feet of ceramic floor tile. Today, that number is 400 million square feet, making Interceramic one of the largest manufacturers of glazed floor tile in North America. Aside from manufacturing, however, Interceramic also boasts the title of one of the largest distributors of ceramic tile, natural stone, and installation materials in America.

As a result, the name Interceramic has become synonymous with tile and stone. As technologies and styles have progressed, so too has Interceramic. Take, for example their green initiative.

Interceramic Green

Green, or eco-friendly products, is not just a trending topic, it's one way that consumers and manufacturers can help prolong the health of our planet. Interceramic takes this approach seriously during manufacturing and installation.

  • 100% of all water used in the manufacturing process is recycled
  • 100% of unfired tile is recycled
  • 15% of the heat from kilns is recycled
  • 90% of fired scrap is recycled
  • Interceramic flooring does not require solvent-based cleaners, will not absorb VOCs from surrounding materials, and has a long life cycle, thus requires few replacements.
  • Interceramic also offers products made in the USA (Garland, Texas, to be exact) in order to support the local economy and reduce the size of a product's carbon footprint.

Aside from their green initiative, Interceramic also gives back to their community. The Vida Digna foundation, established in collaboration with Fundacion Alfredo Harp Helu, A.C., in 1995, aims to provide health and education assistance for children who live in the Sierra Tarahumara in Chihuahua. To date, more than 1,000 children have been able to attend school at shelters supported by Vida Digna, and have received vital medical services that all children deserve.

The stunning line of Interceramic products

Interceramic is a leader in ceramic and porcelain wall and floor tile, as well as natural stone. Their line of flooring products is as vast as it is gorgeous. And with the reputation for durability, easy maintenance, and simple installation, any flooring product stamped with the Interceramic name is sure to add quality to your life. Whether you're looking for residential or commercial flooring, Interceramic has something for you.

Their Arizona tile flooring line is evident of that. The sand-swept natural stone appearance of the Arizona line provides your space with a warmth and texture that projects an inviting air. This line comes in Copper, Gold and Beige, as well as Random Mosaic, all of which represent the southwestern state for which this product line is named.

The Arizona line, like all other Interceramic products, is resistant to thermal shock and frost, meaning it can be used, in same cases, outdoors. This ceramic tile does not have to be sealed with epoxy, unlike natural stone flooring, and its breaking strength of over 350 pounds makes it capable of handle most applications.

Interceramic's Pebble Stone products are also a popular choice for designers and homeowners to add a modern look to any space. Coming in shades such as White, Marrone, and Graphite, these floor decorative pieces add character to indoor and outdoor settings.

Yet Pebble Stone isn't the only creative option you have with Interceramic. You can choose from designs and styles including:

  • River Rocks
  • Turkish Travertine
  • Palazzi
  • Marble
  • Limestone
  • Granite
  • And much more

Interceramic also offers commercial-specific flooring products with a variety of styles including concrete, stone, textile, wood, marbleized, and glass.

Variety is always welcomed when it comes to choosing your next flooring, which is why many designers and homeowners flock to Interceramic. Not only do they have a variety sure to encompass what you've envisioned, but their products have the reputation for durability and longevity.
